Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of research brought me to these tires I have a 2013 Ford F-150 XLT Supercab with Chrome pkg. I want to say first of all I have only had these tires for a small amount of time, so my experiences with tread wear, etc. are very limited. I mostly wanted to write this because of my experience with the purchase and the research I did, for both quality and price. First of all, Cooper is an American Icon as far as a tire manufacturer, the tires are made in the USA, so for those of you that it matters to, this is a brand to buy. I have never owned a pickup truck before, and never had purchased All-Terrain tires before, but I was tired of having tires that would wear below inspection parameters in 20K-30K miles, tired of hydro-plane happening, and really wanted a tire that would make us have no worries on snow and ice, so I thought aggressive tread would solve all of these concerns; I can't again make those determinations based on experience, except I have tested in large wet puddles, and they went right through with absolutely no issue, like a hot knife through butter. So, I checked Tire Warehouse, Town Fair Tire, Sam's Club, Sears, Wal-Mart, Stratham Tire, and internet discount tire outlets. I eliminated the latter as I needed and wanted everything done all at once instead of having them delivered to my house and transporting. Many of the other places I checked prior to where I bought these, Pep Boys, all had tires with offers; rebates, Visa cards, etc., but what finally got me as far as the price was the Cooper tires were buy 3, get 1 free, so I immediately started looking at quality and reviews of this tire. As mentioned earlier, the fact that they are an icon in the tire business, maybe not as much as Michelin or Goodyear from a brand name, but if you follow motor sports at all you know Cooper competes as well as any, made me pay attention. The Adventurer A/T tires I bought are exclusive to Pep Boys, but it is the same thing as the A/T3 tires under Discoverer and several other iterations, and the reviews are 90% positive. You will always find negative reviews, and I have found the only concerning reviews were the ones that claim they would not hold air pressure, because that would be a very serious issue and would definitely keep me from purchasing if I thought it was a common theme; the others for example, some that say the tread lasted only low mileage, can't be taken seriously in my opinion, because the people either did not ever rotate, did not get 4 wheel alignment, or both, and I guarantee any tires that are not rotated and if the wheels are not in alignment will not last more than 20K miles period, and even then they will be practically useless after 15K, where they are almost bald and will not work for "crud" if you know what I mean in wet or snowy conditions. Finally, the "looks" of the tire was important to me, again never having had AT tires, I wanted them to look "mean", or at least big and aggressive looking. I will be honest, I think these are awesome looking tires, especially with my chrome package on the F-150, but there is one tire that looks better in my opinion, but the cost of them are around $50 more per tire, and I don't believe the quality is anywhere close to making up that price difference, but if they were, the BF Goodrich AT KO tires are impressive looking, not $200+ better looking and certainly not $200+ in quality by a longshot. These Cooper tires look better in person as opposed to seeing photos, you don't get the high-definition look in photos that you do in person. I have had several people tell me they like the looks of the tires, so that tells me I am not wrong about their appearance. So I would recommend these tires based on what I have written, and I will be sharing an updated review here once I have 10K miles under my belt. Again, please note my ratings should be incomplete, except for wet handling, I already know they are excellent, handling, I already know, and the ride comfort and quiet I would rate as good, because AT tires are not meant for absolute quiet or absolute smooth ride, but they are much better than I expected prior to getting them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tires I had news on my truck for two years and put just over 70,000 miles on them , there a 50000 mile Rated Tire from Pep Boys never had one problem , never even checked the air and rotated 3 times on my Silverado . I switched over to Highway Tire this time and it's a Cooper .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tire for my needs Needed new tires for my 07 Trailblazer and thought I would give these Coopers a try after doing a lot of research ,Glad I did ! Nice smooth ride ,Good in the rain,Very quiet for an A/T tread ,handles well. This is just what I wanted, not an offroad tire but much more aggressive than a car tire. Good price and a nice looking tire with RWL letters for what it would cost to get blackwalls and made by an American company !! This tire is only available from Pep Boys but the price and service I received was great! Haven't used these in the snow yet but I use 4wd anyway when the roads are bad. Can't rate durability yet but if I get 30-35 thousand miles of good service from these I will be a happy guy !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts forever This is by far the best set of tires I have ever bought. After 10,000 miles I hardly see any wear. I had a few nail punctures and used a tire repair kit and they have held up. I will never switch to another brand from now on. I recommend everyone buys this brand. 5 stars is not enough. Try 10 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great wear if you can get them to hold air I have the same experience as Ytown68. After one year the tires, ALL OF THEM, won't hold air. I inflate them to the recommended pressure and in 2 days they are down to 25 psi. While I have been satisfied with the wear, traction and low road noise, I am extremely disappointed in the fact that I will have to now buy another set of tires due to the lack of being able to hold air. I e-mailed Cooper and they didn't even respond except to deny my post for directing business away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tire I have had these tires on my 2001 Ford f150 4x4 off road edition for a year. Excellent ride in all weather conditions. Quite on the highway at 80mph. Tires are wearing great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tires Bought a set of Cooper Adventurer A/T LT275/65R18 for my 2013 F150 and I am extremely happy with them. Very quiet on the highway. No noise difference from the factory Wranglers. Lots of tread too! More aggressive than what they looked like in the pictures. In a good way. Drives & feels like an all season highway passenger car tire.
